A commercial driver with a CDL was stopped twice on two separate occasions in two days in Jackson County, Michigan. He was cited in three separate misdemeanor cases for 2 counts of Fuel Tax Act Violations, Operating CMV out of Service, 2 counts of Driving Vehicle Without Proper Endorsement and Unregistered Vehicle. Attorney DeBruin worked with his employer to investigate what happened and how the driver was stopped two days in a row for the same or similar violations. She worked with the driver and employer to correct some of the issues and get the driver pointed in the right direction for securing a proper endorsement in order to transport the type of loads he was required to haul. She was able to approach the prosecutor with all of this information and secure three separate non-abstract able citations for the driver, leaving his driving history clean and the employer happy.
