Clinton County charged a young man with one count of assault and battery and one count of domestic violence after he was involved in two separate altercations two months apart with his girlfriend. Immediately after Tiffany DeBruin was hired, she met with the client in jail and made a bond motion, securing the client’s release from jail. Her next step was to investigate the history of the tumultuous relationship and track down police reports from other areas where the complaining witness in the case had damaged our client’s property and the police had been called. She sifted through voicemails, text messages and emails and compiled an argument to make to the prosecutor that the complaining witness would be less than credible on the stand. Before the jury trial date, Attorney DeBruin was able to give the client the great news that both charges were dismissed!
