Our 20-year old client was a sophomore in college and had a bright future ahead of them. Unfortunately, they had a run-in with the law and were arrested for operating while intoxicated in Clinton County. Attorney DeBruin, having had significant training on the standardized field sobriety tests, the preliminary breath test, and the Datamaster, carefully reviewed all of the evidence. She ascertained, among other mistakes made by the officers, that there was interference noted in the Datamaster test both before and after the Datamaster was administered to her client. She contacted the prosecutor regarding these shortcomings in their case and secured for her client a minor reduced offense that does not affect their driver’s license or appear on a criminal or driving history. The client had to pay fines and the case was closed, saving the client stress and delay. The client can now move on with their college education and hopefully realize their dreams.
