A recent abuse and neglect case came to Michigan criminal defense lawyer Tiffany DeBruin’s office. A 30-year-old woman from Ingham County with no previous criminal history wanted her children back in her custody. The mother, with some mental health issues, was receiving disability at the time. Attorney Tiffany DeBruin understood how important this case was to her client. With that on her mind, she filed a 14-page hearing memorandum explaining to the court how the caretaker of her children was not providing them with adequate care. Within the next hearing, the children were successfully returned to their mother and have been under her care since.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
