Clinton County Client was stopped on US-127 and charged with Operating With a High BAC after a chemical test came back at more than twice the legal limit. He faced up to 180 days in jail, mandatory vehicle immobilization, an alcohol-restricted license, and a permanent OWI on his driving record. We filed a motion to suppress, and before the motion was heard, we negotiated a resolution with the prosecution. Result: charge reduced to a non-abstractable misdemeanor and a civil infraction. No alcohol-related conviction, fines, costs and no probation.
