A client was charged in Ann Arbor with Speeding in a construction zone, 31-35mph over, a 4-point violation. After review of the client’s driving history, attorney Tiffany DeBruin had the client participate in proactive measures. Attorney DeBruin spoke with the prosecutor at length about the circumstances that led to the situation as well as the client’s remorse and proactive measures. The prosecutor agreed to reduce the violation to impeding traffic; a 0-point, non-abstractable offense, meaning that the ticket will never appear on her driving history, either for police officers or for insurance purposes.
